Radugadesign’s new collaboration with Output is dedicated to Spring Awakening. The studio has created a motion design piece proclaiming the victory of nature and new life over time and space, implementing the Naked Eye 3D effect. The show took place on Wangfujing’s screen in Beijing.
The huge screen is transformed into a digital terrarium, where nature wakes up after winter.
In the first part, the movement of light dictates the time-laps, the screen comes to life, everything is spinning, shifting, and transforming as if in a biochemical reaction. The flowers are rising up and the camera moves with them in synonymous action as it observes the growth. Next comes the watery environment with the liquid cumulations and bubbles moving within the glass confinement. In the afterward scene the bubbles unfurl and fill up the space, growing through the glass of the terrarium and breaking through the screen with the Naked Eye 3D effect.
The focal point of imagery is repeatedly unfolding objects with natural vernal patterns. The textures are kept organic. However, the forms are revised in an abstract manner. Compositionally, they start at a point and progress onto the internal wall of the terrarium space. The Naked Eye 3D effect is achieved through the glass illusion as the pattern breaks through the front matte wall.
