AV-performance by radugadesign and musician Alexander Zaripov explores the perception of colour and sound as well as their effect on humans. It premiered at the international media art festival Intervals in 2021.
The significance of the number 7 is found in various cultures and sacred texts, like the 7 days of the week, 7 musical notes, and 7 colors of the rainbow. Is this mere chance or a meaningful pattern?
At the core of the installation are seven towering 12-meter LED columns. Colors flash along with synchronized sound waves, taking viewers on a journey from monochrome to vibrant rainbows - evoking a range of emotions.
Through generative content paired with multi-channel audio in touchdesigner software, audiences not only "see" sounds down to minute details but also sense the personality, psychology, and mood conveyed through light and color.
